WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK...
Out of all those I applied to, only one, unfortunately, called me back.
It's not that I'm not ungrateful or anything. But consider this; I have been applying for a position for the last 3 months, after I knew for certain that I passed the Architecture Board Exam of June 2017.
There were 15 or so companies that I applied to. Some of them were actually subsidiaries of their mother company which I happened to apply too.
And that was only under Jobstreet. I applied for 3 more on LinkedIn; but, to no avail.
Thankfully, one retail giant took me in for an interview, and an exam at that. No details for now, until I can be certain that I get hired.
But, I wanted something as close to what I worked for before: interior fit-outs for boutiques at malls across the country. If on a larger or a grander scale, that's fine.
On the other hand, there is this retail company whose profile comprises of the world's most luxurious brands at their portfolio. This might be closer to what I wanted.
I may be paid more, but I don't like the work; no thanks, sayang lang.
Or, I could work with something close to my heart, but more challenging. IDGAF, if that's the case.
I don't want to rush it. I just really want to have work badly, so that I could provide for the everyday needs of my mom and myself.
Nonetheless, work is work.
